Pottsville
Posted about 1 year agoFirst stop on my long journey is Pottsville. A massive 134 km taken out of my 12000+ km trip. I would have liked to get a bit further on my first day of travel, but Pottsville is a little bit special. Pottsville has the Pottsville Kayak Club. I was there with John, James and Lianne.
We went kayaking up to the 'Never Never' which was totally fantastic. Paddling from the mouth of some river up as far as we could go. At the 'Never Never', you come out of the trees to be greeted with a fantastic view of Mt Warning. There was a herd of cows there that looked as if they had never seen a kayak before as they were very interested in checking out the boats.
Unfortunately, I don't have a waterproof camera so I have no shots of the kayaking trip. Except those in my mind, in the album of "shots never taken" that I keep.
